Processing of (personal) data by the entity in charge of the online application process

1. General information

1.1    This data protection declaration explains which data is provided and/or collected and stored when the internet site belonging to Black Diamond Equipment Europe GmbH's (hereinafter referred to as: "BD" or "we") is used and how this data is subsequently protected by BD.

1.2    This data protection declaration applies to websites and services owned and operated by BD or on behalf of BD. We do not have any influence over links that emanate from our services.

1.3    Protecting personal data is highly important to us. Data processing is based on the legal regulations, in particular as per § 96 Telecommunications Act 2003 as well as § 8 Data Protection Act.

 

2. Collecting, processing and using personal data

2.1    When you visit our website our server records the data that your browser automatically sends out whenever you visit a website. These entries might include data about your search query, the web address, the IP address, the browser that you use, the language used by your browser, the time and date of the request as well as one or more cookies that uniquely identify your browser.

2.2    Data provided by you or automatically logged by us upon registration will only be passed on to a third party without your consent if we are required to do so by law or by a court decision or if disclosure in the event of attacks on our internet infrastructure is needed for a legal or criminal prosecution. It will never be passed on for any other commercial or non-commercial purposes.

2.3    The data that was passed on will only be used by third party service providers for the purpose for which we provided the data.

 

3. Data protection

3.1    BD implements technical and organisational security measures to protect your data that is processed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or against it being accessed by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in concurrence with technological developments. However, we cannot guarantee the protection of data against interception, misappropriation, misuse or modification as well as accidental publication or access and unauthorised third-party activities.

 

4. Links to other providers

4.1    Our website might contain links to other providers and links to social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn). This data protection declaration only applies to websites and services owned and operated by BD or on behalf of BD. We do not have any influence over links that emanate from our services. We are not responsible for whether these providers or the operators of the social media platforms comply with the legal data protection regulations.

 

5. Use of cookies and web analysis software

5.1    Our websites use cookies in several different places. They make our services more user-friendly and effective. Cookies are small text files that are stored in your computer by your browser. The data is collected and stored solely in anonymous or pseudonymous form and it does not allow any personal conclusions to be made about you. 5.3    We use the cross-device capabilities of Google Analytics Remarketing. Provider is the Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This feature allows visitors of our websites to be addressed by personalized and interest-based advertising on multiple end-user devices (e.g., tablet, laptop, and desktop computer) used by the visitor. Google will link your web and browser history to your Google account. This allows personalized ads to appear on any device you sign in with your Google account. Cross-device targeting requires you to agree to this link in your Google Account. To support this feature, Google Analytics collects google-authenticated IDs from users who are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data for the purpose of target grouping.

5.4    We use Google AdWords and use "conversion tracking" in this context. A cookie is set when visitors click on an ad served by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If certain pages are visited and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can see that the visitor has clicked on the ad and has been redirected to this page.

Each Google Adwords customer receives a different cookie, that is, Cookies can not be tracked through the websites of other AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have chosen conversion tracking. We'll see the total number of visitors who clicked on an ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. 5.5   Facebook pixel: With your consent, we will also use the so-called "Facebook pixel" from the Facebook social media network due to our legitimate interest in the analysis and optimisation of our website. Facebook's operating company is Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA and within the EU it is Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

With its help, we can track users' actions after they have viewed or clicked on a "Facebook ad". This allows us to record the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected in this way remains anonymous to us, i.e. we never see the personal data from individual users. However, this data will be stored and processed by Facebook and we will inform you about this according to the best of our knowledge. 6. Email Marketing

On our website, you can subscribe to our free e-mail newsletter at various places. Processing of (personal) data by the operator of the recruitment website

Data transmitted as part of your application will be transferred using TLS encryption and stored in a database. The sole controller of this data within the meaning of article 24 of the GDPR is the enterprise carrying out this online application process. Personio’s role is limited to operating the software and this recruitment website and, in this context, being a processor under article 28 of the GDPR. Access logs (“server logs”)
